This is the only service in the Union on this Sunday

5th Sunday Breakfast 29th Nov 2015

You are invited to a ‘Continental Breakfast’ before the 5th Sunday Service in Midleton. Normally we would have refreshments after the service—this time were going to have them beforehand. This will be hosted by the Xprsurslf Youth Club and will be available from  9.30am—10.15am No charge—but donations to cost welcome

Tuesday Club

 

Christmas lunch at the Old Distillery on Tuesday 8th December at 12.30 for 12.45pm. Cost €20 (including tips) As this is the final event for the Tuesday Club we hope that members, past and present will be able to join us. If you would like to come please ring Alma King (4652067) or Joan Rockley (4652426)

Midleton College Christmas Fair

Spaghetti Bolognese.
Vegetarian option.
Glass of Wine.
Dessert.
Tea /Coffee/Soft Drink

Get to know your fellow parishioners join us for fun and food.
Cost € 10 per adult € 5 per child.
Tickets available from any of the Church Wardens or the Dean.

is holding a Table Quiz Fundraiser! November 20th starting doors open at 7:30pm, quiz starts at 8:00pm in the Parish Church Hall!

It’s €20 euro per table and there will be 4 per table. The  whole family is welcome proceeds will be split between Xpressurself Youth Group and St John the Baptist Church There will be tea, coffee and tray bakes plus a raffle on the night!  If anyone would like to donate raffle prizes or tray bakes that would be much appreciated!  Contact Kristin (083) 411-7147 or Carrie (085) 777-3519 for questions or donations!

‘Down memory lane’

on 24 November at 3pm in the Church Hall

Would members please bring along items of interest such as old kitchen/farm utensils, coins, WW1 memorabilia, old photographs, books etc; items that tell a story and bring back memories of times past.

We will be taking names for the Christmas lunch on 8 December at this meeting.

ANNUAL ACT OF REMEMBRANCE

On Sunday, 8th November 4.00p.m. at Choral Evensong and the ​Annual Act of Remembrance at St Fin Barre’s Cathedral​, Cork, ​the Bishop will dedicate the Diocesan World War 1 memorial installation to mark the centenary of the war (1914-1918).

Parishioners and their friends from throughout the Diocese are encouraged to attend and a particular invitation is extended to everyone who submitted photographs and information about loved ones (casualties of the war and war veterans) for inclusion in the memorial.

DAILY MORNING PRAYER

There will be no daily morning service in St John the Baptist Church for the next week. They will recommence on Monday 9th November 2015
